Check out my Indy Colts bling baby!!!!!!

How "bout" them Colts???

Mom and dad went to the AFC Championship game in Indy over the weekend and I got/had to go back to the boarding kennel. As dad had said before, it is a good place to stay. I was quite happy to see my new found friends at the kennel and made it quite clear they treat me well.

I don't even get to keep the bling as mom said she might need it again. Geez, nuts and bolts and I get the screw. Dad said he and I will watch the Super Bowl at home (he ain't fooling me, he is just too broke to go to the game) I will stay in the background just in case things don't go well for the Colts but with Peyton at QB I say no problems. GO Colts!!!!

Yuck!! These feathers taste horrible.

Dad keeps telling me stories about how great his retrievers were so I thought I would see for myself. Either he was lying to me or those Chessies and Labs were crazy. Not only are the feathers no fun to eat but there is no way I am jumping into ice water for that thimg. If he wants to eat these he can have at them. I think I will continue to stay in the nice, warm house and "guard" mom when he goes off on these adventures.

I am now twenty-six weeks old and about fifty-eight pounds. I also just survived my first tramatic experience. The folks had to go to Atlanta and sent me to the boarding kennel. I could tell dad was as upset as I was but we both came through it with no problem. He kept assuring me his other dogs actually enjoyed going there and not to worry about it as I have no say so in the matter. We both sucked it up and got through it but I have a hunch I will have to go there again.

Running wild

This is Gus's backyard. Actually, it is a retreat that borders our property and they let us walk in it. Gus is like a different dog back here. No distractions other than the occasional deer or rabbit so Gus just runs and I follow. If you follow this blog at all do you feel sorry for him ? LOL   The little guy has it made, doesn't he? He is now six months old and just over 50 pounds.

OH WHAT A NIGHT!!!

Looks like Ol' Gus had quite a night, doesn't it? Gus actually got to spend the evening at Pet Supplies. He just loves it and so do I as it is such a great place to continue his socialization and training. ( I think this also proves we are old beyond our years for spending New Years this way  LOL ) Ang and I had fun watching him "try" to get away with murder but no such luck for him. I am not sure why they put the rawhide chews so low but I think Gus got a couple of sample licks in. He seemed quite happy with the biscuits we bought but frowned when we went to the collar area and puchased his new training collar. The little guy outgrows these very fast and is almost ready to use a twenty-two inch collar. While he gave us the usually growing pains of being a puppy in 2009 there is noooo doubt the joy has far and away outweighed the negatives. I hope it continues in 2010!! Our best to all who check into this blog for 2010 as well.
